Act Now! took part in this year’s “100% Climate Neutrality” conference in Sonderborg (Denmark) from September, 30th to October, 2nd. Politicians, industry representatives and researchers came together to discuss best practice approaches for reaching the aim of climate neutrality. “Act Now! aims at the huge potential for CO2 savings in the existing building stock”, explains project manager Petra Schneider from the City of Bremerhaven (Germany). “The project wants to increase capacity in European municipalities, in order to enable local administrations to make public buildings more efficient.”
The conference also invited youth representatives for challenging traditional thinking and for fresh ideas. Among them were the delegates of Bremerhaven’s Youth Climate Council (Jugendklimarat), who presented their claims and thoughts.
